I'm so ready to stay in Denver this weekend

Our August has been non stop and I've been neglecting this blog. Sorry bloggers! Let me share a few highlights with you:

I visited Jen the last few days of July and then headed back to Denver to get ready for DC. Too bad I stepped on a huge peice of glass just 1 hour after I landed back in Denver! I was hobbling around DC the entire trip. Oh yeah, I won the DC trip on the radio! I was caller # 6, and won flights, hotel and tickets to Coldplay. We had an amazing time!

Doing the robot in front of the White House... we are awesome!

The next week Sean and I took off to Salt Lake City. My friend Nicole looked amazing and so happy at her wedding! Congrats to the Brickers!

We ended up seeing family in Ogden (We miss the Thompson's!) and even got in an Ikea trip! I got these awesome lights I installed under our kitchen cabinets. And there is even a touch pad that turns on the lights to 3 different brightnesses. I can't believe I'm blogging about lights!

Ok, the next weekend was my mom's 60th birthday celebration. I had been in constant contact with my aunt to ensure an awesome party at her house in Pleasanton. Katrina and I even made invitations! There were two parts to the party: an afternoon wine tasting and an evening at the oscars. The surprise was that we were doing a dinner murder mystery. We were an Italian family in mourning over the loss of our father and brother Pepe Roni... Yes so dorky but a such a riot. My brother played Marco Roni the son of Pepe, but he sounded just like Borat. "The balls of meat are good!" My mom was the star of the party and still is talking about how great it was.

OK, are you tired yet? I was and this next weekend was my weekend in Denver, because the DNC was coming into town. Katrina and I got involved in May when we heard about the opportunity to be suite attendants at the Pepsi Center. We had no idea she was going to be serving the Governor of Colorado! And they told me I was going to be serving the Clintons, but that never happened. I was in charge of Senator Dick Durbin. He is known to be responsible for getting Obama on the way to run for President. He even introduced Obama at the Thursday acceptance speech. I had an amazing time and I was so happy to be a part of the DNC!

And my last weekend was spent celebrating a friends new adventure in life. Cory and Nate are moving to Australia and the added bonus is that Cory is 6 months pregnant, so we had a small gettting together to celebrate their new journey. I'll miss you Cory!

August was a great month. I mean DC, Family, Nicole's wedding, my Mom 60th bday, Obama for your momma, and getting to celebrate with your best friends? Best month of 2008... for sure.
