Estes Park

The annual Scottish Irish Festival was this past weekend. I never knew it existed until our friends at work invited us. The festival started off with an opening ceremony where all the families were announced. Each had their different plaid skirts to strut as they walked in the parade.

We had a great time trying meat pies, and of course the smoked turkey leg.... (Sorry Brooke!) And let's just say there was plenty to wash down our food with! There was even a booth dedicated to buying shots of scotch!!!

There were also bands playing at the festival... Brother and Albennach.... so cool and unexpected. Albennach had like 9 people in their band and all but one were playing these huge drums. The one without the drum played the bagpipe...

I witnessed my first bagpipe malfunction. What memories!

On our walk home we ran into a bunch of Elk in the middle of the golf course. It's mating season!!!

Can you see Sean standing next to the giant Elk?
